Living Water

My soul is filled to overflowing.

The richest of foods,

the purest of water,

cannot compare

to the fullness I have in You.

Sustenance flows

to the tips of my fingers

to the hairs of my head

to the soles of my feet

and bursts forth in praise from my lips.

Only You fulfill!

Only You sustain!

Never will I suffer the ravages of thirst again,

nor feel the parched inner desert,

the burning sun or dusty mouth,

the cracked expanse of my heart.

You fill, You replenish,

You refresh and satisfy.

So I cling

and I sing

and I drink

long and deep.
