Father,
Today I praise You for who You are
apart from my circumstances
apart from how I feel
apart from whether or not the sun is shining.
You are so good, and worthy to be praised!
I praise You
because You are unchanging
because Your are reliable
because You are trustworthy.
I love You - but am only able to love because You first loved me.
Your kindness and love has drawn me
to repentance
to confession
to Your mercy.
Your Spirit fills me
when I am depleted
when I am empty
when I am weak.
Your love strengthens and carries me; You uphold me.
You help me to lift my foot
and take one more step
one more time
one more day.
Thank you.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.
